Description

Chitosan (Poly-D-glucosamine) is a natural polysaccharide (from crustacean shell), that is biocompatible, biodegradable, bio-renewable, and harmless for humans.

Chitosan has a dual function: it mobilises the immune system of the plant, recognising the product as a possible threat, and has a certain fungicidal effect as it temporarily modifies the fungal wall.

Pampercrop® Thanos is a product formulated on the basis of Poly-D-glucosamine, a SAR (Systemic Acquired Resistance) molecule which acts by activating defence mechanisms of plants. This allows obtaining higher resistance to a pathogen attack and other factors such as, for example, frosts.
